TRUCKING FIRM EXPANDS IN DELAWARE COUNTY
Daleville, Indiana, (July 26, 2010). DSE Services, Inc. is purchasing the former Burlington Motor Carriers truck maintenance building on Commerce Drive in Daleville. The company will be investing $717,000 in the purchase and renovation of the facility and will be creating 56 new jobs over the next three years. The new jobs are expected to generate an annual payroll of $1.9 million.
DSE Services was founded by David Stinson in 2006 and has grown from a few workers to 48 employees today. The company is currently involved in logistics transportation and truck repair. The company will expand its business services to include a parts department at the new location.
DSE received $325,000 in financial assistance from the Delaware County Redevelopment Commission to help facilitate the transaction. “This is a great project for Daleville and Delaware County,” said Terry Murphy, Vice President, Economic Development for the Muncie-Delaware County Economic Development Alliance. “This takes a building that has been vacant for almost 10 years and puts it back into productive use while creating over 50 new jobs. Our thanks to the Delaware County Commissioners, Delaware County Redevelopment Commission, Delaware County Council, Muncie-Delaware Plan Commission, and Daleville Town Board in helping to make this project a reality,” added Murphy.
“Competition for jobs in today’s economic environment is very high and our community needs to be very proactive to win projects. DSE is a very nice ‘win’ for the Daleville community, as well as Delaware County,” said Todd Donati, President of the Delaware County Commissioners.
“We are excited to have David as a new member of our community and look forward to a long and successful relationship with DSE,” said Jay Julian, Chief Economic Development Officer & President/CEO of the Muncie-Delaware County Chamber of Commerce.
