Membership with the Muncie-Delaware County Chamber of Commerce can positively influence many different aspects of your business. The following are just a few of the benefits accompanying membership in the Chamber of Commerce.

Complementary Products and Services

Business Directory and Website Listing – Your business description and website link are automatically entered into the Chamber’s searchable website business directory, and into the annual Business Directory. Your links and displays are seen by hundreds of potential customers each month, generating brand recognition and potential sales.

Customer Inquiries and Referrals – The Chamber receives thousands of information and referral requests each year and we only refer Chamber members.

Ribbon Cutting/Open House – Ribbon cuttings and open houses are complimentary and are scheduled at the member’s convenience to celebrate joining the Chamber, a new remodel, new location, anniversary, and other occasions.  The Chamber staff will attend and supply the big red ribbon and giant scissors, invite the membership to attend, and publish a photo of the event in the Star Press. There is no charge for this service.

Connect with Leadership – As a Chamber member, you will be able to connect with hundreds of business and community leaders to advance your business.  Chamber members support, recommend, and do business with each other.

Create a Welcoming Community – The Chamber helps create an open and welcoming community by being the community’s primary gateway and portal for newcomers and talent. We handle thousands of requests for community information and relocation packages each year, making us the number one referral source for most business in the Muncie-Delaware County area.

Discounted Products and Services

Membership Lists and Marketing – A great way to target regional customers. The Chamber maintains data on all our member businesses. Compare to purchasing a Dunn & Bradstreet listing at over $500. Your cost: $100 for labels, $200 for Excel spreadsheet.

E-Marketing – Another effective way to target regional customers. The Chamber will send your message, complete with graphics and logo, to over 1,400 business email addresses. Compare to an ad with the newspaper at $500. Add a social media boost for just $25 and we will share your message on the Chamber’s Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn. Your cost: $125-150.

Monthly Mailing – Insert a flyer in our bi-monthly mailing (delivered Janruary, March, May, July, September and November) delivered to over 800 business addresses for just $175.

3-for-3 Marketing – Combine inserting a piece in one monthly mailing with two eBlast messages for only $300.  Normally a $425 value.

Event Discounts – The Chamber presents more than 30 events and programs each year and members receive a discount on all program and event fees.

Member Health Insurance Benefits – The Chamber has partnered with different plans to offer only Chamber member businesses discounts on group healthcare benefits.

Accident Fund
Accident Fund Insurance Company has partnered with the Chamber to provide one of the best worker compensatioon programs available for small- to mid-sized businesses.  This program offers:

  • 5% up-front credit
  • Dividend opportunities if the group performs well
  • No minimum premium to qualify

Physicians Health Plan (PHP)
PHP and the Muncie-Delaware County Chamber of Commerce have partnered to offer Chamber members up to 5% off of employee health insurance. PHP is local, physician-founded and not-for-profit.

Eligibility:

  • Must have 2-50 employees
