City Council Approves Preliminary Resolution for Trilogy Health Care of Muncie, LLC
At its March 2, 2015, meeting the Muncie City Council approved a preliminary resolution allowing for designation of an economic revitalization area (ERA) and approval of a three year tax abatement on a $4 million expansion by Trilogy Health Care of Muncie, LLC. The Council will hold a public hearing and take final action on this measure at its April 6th meeting.
Trilogy Health Care (Morrison Woods) is proposing to construct a 25,000 square foot addition to its existing assisted living facility on certain land in the proposed Economic Revitalization Area (ERA).
Each townhouse includes two bedrooms and two baths. The construction consists of 16 rooms. Assisted living for the Townhouses includes, but not limited to (1) housekeeping, (2) Maintenance, and (3) Healthcare button for help as described in the Statements of Benefits.
The value of the real estate investment is projected at $3.3 million. The company is also investing $750,000 in equipment for which they are not requesting abatement. The company will be adding between 10-15 jobs at an average rate of $33,000.
