Economic Development Alliance Hosts Progress Rail Career Fair
(Muncie, Indiana – January 26, 2012) The Muncie-Delaware County Economic Development Alliance will host a career fair on behalf of Progress Rail Manufacturing Corporation, a locomotive manufacturing plant in Muncie, Indiana. The fair will be held on Saturday, February 4, 2012 from 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM in Delaware Hall at the Horizon Convention Center, 401 S. High St., Muncie, IN 47305.
Brief screenings will be conducted for hourly positions which include material handlers, assemblers, welders, quality inspectors, painters, and maintenance technicians. Interested individuals are asked to bring a resume to the career fair. Resume assistance is available through Work One.
Compensation includes a comprehensive benefit package consisting of 401K, medical, dental, paid holidays, generous vacation time, and an employee incentive program.
Hourly starting wages are as follows:
Maintenance Technicians: $ 18.50/hr.
Welders $14.50/hr.
Painters $14.50/hr.
Quality Inspectors $13.50/hr.
Assemblers: $12.00/hr.
Material Handlers: $12.00/hr.
Available positions will require pre-employment drug testing, fitness-for-duty medical review, and a thorough background check.
